Our Founder, Jacinta Gallant, is a respected Canadian collaborative lawyer, conflict trainer and innovator in her field. A student and teacher of the Insight Approach to Conflict, she is recognized internationally for her insightful and experiential approach to teaching and managing conflict, and has been welcomed as a trainer throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia.
As the founder of Innovation for Lawyers Inc., Jacinta’s mission is to help collaborative lawyers integrate their professional and personal values, rediscover the vision that led them to law school, do excellent work and make a good living. Jacinta believes that professionals who work with families can be a positive force for change in the world – at a personal, community, and societal level.
Jacinta is the principal of Waterstone Law Group in Prince Edward Island, Canada. By developing products and resources for collaborative lawyers, Jacinta aims to help lawyers and other collaborative professionals engage with clients in a more meaningful way, manage conflict more effectively, and get more enjoyment out of going to work.
We aim to support collaborative professionals to work with the vision and values that led them to pursue their education and decide to work with families going through conflict. We develop content, tools and resources to help professionals be more effective, engaged and happier at work, while offering high quality service to clients.
Our first product is Our Family in Two Homes, a highly effective resource for collaborative professionals to use with their clients. In a marketplace that seems to despise “divorce lawyers”, this innovative product lets lawyers (and other professionals who work with families) to offer highly valued service and expertise where it is needed most, while supporting clients to make the best decisions for their future. Collaborative professionals and mediators around the world can license this product - along with our two other products - Our Family in a Few Homes and Designing Our Future Together - customized for use with clients in their community.

Since launching our first product in October 2019, Innovation for Lawyers has customized the Our Family in Two Homes Workbook for more than 30 legal jurisdictions, across Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Spain and England.
We are currently working on translation and customization for Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Brazil. In addition, we have created a special workbook for couples whose children are grown - Our Family in A Few Homes - and a workbook for couples who are cohabiting or getting married - Designing Our Future Together.
Our collaborative colleagues around the world report that our resources facilitate more meaningful engagement with their clients, by supporting client learning and increasing communication. Using our resources also helps enhance the role of each member of the collaborative team, creating a common language for professionals and clients alike.
